The Journey of an Artist: How I Started Swati Chauhan.co

Art has always been my haven—a place where I could lose myself in colors and creativity, finding joy and meaning in each brushstroke. Like many, my journey hasn’t been straightforward. It’s been a mix of passion, hard work, and life’s unexpected turns. Today, as I pick up my brushes and start this chapter with Swati Chauhan.co, I want to share the story behind my love for art and the resilience that kept it alive.

Art During the Pandemic: A Turning Point

The pandemic was a time of uncertainty for many, but for me, it also became a time of self-discovery. It gave me the opportunity to reconnect with my artistic roots and share my love for watercolor painting through online workshops. Over the course of those months, I taught over 500 students, guiding them through the delicate strokes and vibrant hues that make watercolors so magical.

During this period, I also started focusing on my Instagram page. Through consistent posting, engaging content, and connecting with my audience, I grew my page to an incredible 22,000 followers. My followers weren’t just numbers—they were a community that celebrated creativity with me.

Inspired by this momentum, I decided to explore YouTube as another way to reach aspiring artists. I started shooting simple videos, sharing tips and techniques, and to my surprise, gained 1,000 subscribers in a short time. It was an exhilarating experience that reinforced the idea that art can inspire and bring people together, even in the most challenging times.

Balancing Motherhood and Creativity

Shortly after this, life presented me with a new chapter—motherhood. When my daughter was just three months old, I began working on my first art course. I remember shooting lessons while juggling feedings and naps. It wasn’t just challenging—it was exhausting.

Despite being a “testing course” and having no formal marketing, the course reached many students. Their response was heartwarming and showed me that my art could make an impact, even during one of the busiest times of my life.

However, art demands focus, and as a new mother, my priorities shifted. The detailed work that art requires felt daunting amidst sleepless nights and endless responsibilities. No matter how hard I tried to stay active on my page, I simply couldn’t give my art the attention it deserved.

Keeping the Connection Alive

Even in this phase of my life, art never left my side. I received numerous collaboration offers from brands, which kept me connected to the creative world. These opportunities were a reminder that my art still resonated with people, even when I couldn’t fully dedicate myself to it.

But deep inside, I longed to return to my canvas, my brushes, and the joy of creating.

A New Beginning: Starting Again

Now, as life has found a new rhythm, I’m ready to start my journey once more. Swati Chauhan.co is not just a business—it’s my way of sharing the beauty of art and inspiring others to find their own creative spark.

This time, I’m bringing all the lessons I’ve learned along the way: the resilience of balancing motherhood and work, the joy of teaching, and the determination to keep going, no matter the challenges.

I’m excited to explore new projects, host workshops, and connect with a community of art lovers and learners. This is a fresh beginning, and I’m thrilled to see where this path takes me.
